a little bit about ...

I am a 17 year old aspiring writer. I was born, raised, and currently live in a small Massachusetts town. I have been writing for as long as I can remember - I would sit at my father's office computer and type out short stories and poetry from the age of seven. I have also been an avid reader since an early age, always bringing a book everywhere I went and reading in bed under the covers with a flashlight. When I was nine years old, I won a national Reader's Digest elementary-age poetry contest, which is my only accomplishment to date unless you count winning my school spelling bee in 4th and 5th grades. My interest in writing, which was slightly ignored in middle school, was revived during my sophomore year of high school and even more so my junior year, when I befriended other writers my age who were much more serious about the art than I was. I plan on pursuing a double major in English and psychology when I attend college, which will not be until autumn of 2014. I am young but I find real joy in writing, sharing my writing, and giving and receiving feedback.

Motto I am constantly evolving into a better version of myself.
